JANUARY 28, 2005. I have read much contradictory information about safety studies on vaccines. So I'm outlining parameters for such studies and requesting factual input.

Let's say a company is testing new vaccine X prior to seeking FDA approval for it. Or let's widen the area and even say that vaccine X might have been just approved by the FDA.

In either case, the company and/or the FDA or the CDC is going to do a safety study.

This study should be long-term. It should track people who got the shot for at least a year.

The numbers of these people should be at least 1000.

In the same study, there should be a placebo group of 1000. This group (whose general health and age and diet are quite similar to that of the vaccine group) does not get vaccine X, and does not get any vaccine for the same condition---e.g., measles.

In fact, because many or all vaccines are alleged to cause health problems, let us say that all people in the vaccine group have ONLY received vaccine X, and the people in the placebo group have received no vaccine at all.

Now a list of possible adverse effects from vaccine X must be made. They will include: various neurological conditions; the disease against which X is being given; a general lowering of immune response.

Both groups will be tracked carefully for a year.

The study authors/researchers will have no financial connections of any kind to the manufacturer of vaccine X or any other other vaccine maker.

These are the general rules of the game.

So my question is: HAS ANY SUCH STUDY ON ANY VACCINE EVER BEEN DONE AND PUBLISHED IN FULL?

And if so, has this study ever been replicated by other researchers leading a new study, in order to confirm or deny the results of the first study?

I'm just asking.

Please do not send me assertions or quotes from experts or summary PR. I want the study/studies. I do not want results from the adverse-event reporting system of the US government. Just the studies.
